It's Been Awhile.....

So, a few years ago Bruce built a fish pond in the yard.  We purchased a few 25 cent goldfish from Pet Smart.  And these fourteen 25 cent goldfish have lived through 3 winters of solid frozen pond.  This year we bought some expensive floating plants and the water was gross all summer.  

Well, when Bruce started scooping the fish out of the yucky pond a baby showed up!  We were so excited and are pretty sure the baby was able to hide in the plants all summer.  

By the time we had the pond drained we actually found two more babies!

You can sure see the size difference in the baby and it's Momma.  

Sure wonder what color this baby will become. 

This fish was black last summer - I could tell by the gold flake on it's back. 

I'll let you know another day how they fair through the winter....
