The Sheets are in town!

The Sheets are in town! We took them for a drive in the country to visit a couple of estate sales. Fun times.

Baylor is such a good sport! He climbed the fence for me so I could get a picture. 

 Elle wasn't to sure. "Is it going to shock me?"  City kids!  

Bruce headed down the road with his finds at a Mennonite farm. The buckets are cool recycled cans that were used for storing nails.  I found an awesome kerosene can, lots of character and a giant yard stick.  The families were also selling fresh walnuts and apple pie squares.  

 While the kids were in the RV they did some art.  Both Elle and Baylor loved my teepee painting and decided to make more.  They didn't have time to finish so they took them home.

Season Finale - Football 2016

Today was the final football game for Marcus and his dad, Coach Marc. The kids have improved so much and had an easy win. The weather even cooperated. Chilly but dry! Bruce and I count ourselves lucky we are able to attend more of the grandkids activities with our move. After the game and a yummy lunch at the Oergel's we headed back to Bonners Ferry arriving home by 5. Kimmie and Tracy had dinner ready so I got out of cooking twice and hugged all eight grandchildren. Great day!

As usual I started to notice my surroundings around the 3rd quarter. Isn't this tree amazing? 

This is Shadle Park Aquatic Center. What a treasure for a community! 

Not sure what this tower at the high school is all about. But the seagulls appeared and quickly pooped on a few fans.

Olivia, Marcus and Emma - what a team!  The girls are so proud of Marcus and enjoy watching him play.

We have been so fortunate to be able to spend time with the kids and watch them in their sporting events this fall.  More to come!

On the way home we stopped at Albeni Falls for a break and checked out the pretty fall foliage. The drive between Spokane and Bonners Ferry is gorgeous.  Not a lot of traffic and an easy drive.  

Final Cross-country meet

The district track meet was held in Coeur d'Alene yesterday. Bruce and I made a day of the trip, visiting downtown and checking out the sculptures, shopping and the lake. Sophie did great, running with 153 girls from 12 schools. The race scores were actually divided by small/large schools and Sophie received a medal for 4th place in the small school division. Boundary County MS received the 2nd place trophy. Tons of excitement at the end of a fabulous season. Note to self - next season I need rubber boots and an umbrella for cross-country watching!

As soon as the race was over it started to rain.

And  the rain continued. Of course, being from dry and windy Ellensburg we don't own an umbrella.
