The Sheets were in the Burg!

 Kimmie, Colby, Elle and Baylor came to our house for a little R&R.

The week went much to quickly - we had so much fun. Picnic's at lunch, hot tub (turned to swimming pool temperature) in the evening and watching Elle explore the place.  Can't wait for the next visit!! 

BOATING 101

 We took the SS Minnow out crabbing at Birch Bay.  Easy Peasy.....

 The girls pulled Dad into shore while Poppi parked the truck and trailer. 

The guys headed out to the crabbing area.  The girls hung out on the beach -  Gia is wearing the hat Tracy bought in Spokane years ago.  It's the nicest crocheted hat - perfect for beach time. 

After setting the crab pots a mile or so from shore the motor conked out.  Wes rowed them back home.   Bruce has learned how to "text" - someones created a monster! 

 Sophie and Ceci jumped in to push the boat up to shore.

 The weather, water and rocky beach were perfect.  Gia used her bucket to gather shells.

Successful harvest - a very nice crab.  Wes rowed in from setting the crab pots and out again to check them. Bruce rowed back in after pulling the crab pots.  Some tired boys!

Gorgeous Ceci.  Such a great weekend.  The weather couldn't of been nicer - hopefully the engine will work next time!

 I wanted to take photo's of the gorgeous breakfast Tracy made - when I noticed Sophie sitting behind the sign.  So pretty!

This is the breakfast shot.  The Frittata was fantastic!  The lavender scones were super good!  Very photogenic! 

Weekend Fun!

After a fabulous meatloaf dinner the girls went for a 1 mile walk to the park.  

 The park is on a former Air Force base.  The barracks are now used as a Lion's Club camp.

 Reflections

 This morning we headed to the Ferndale Farmers Market.  Wonderful scones and water feature.

 Of course, we only had dry clothes for Gia.  Sophie and Ceci wore their sweatshirts into the mall. 

Tracy and Wes's garden is doing well - we used an onion from the garden for dinner. Update on the crabbing - Bruce went with the neighbors on the boat this morning for some experience.  Due to arrive home shortly. 

 After a 12 hour day - the mighty crab fishermen returned to port - the pots were all intact. 

 Everyone made it to shore.

And there are 3 crabs in the pot.  Apparently they had six additional crabs but they lost the bucket with the crabs.  Sure, I think I heard that story during hunting season.  When I asked Scotty what he was having for dinner he grinned and said "CRAB!"  Sounded like a great day for the guys! 

So, later this evening.  We were outside enjoying a barbecue dinner of Ahi Tuna and chicken for the faint at heart when the doorbell rang.  Tom was at the front door with the fresh cooked crab from  today's excursion.
